I’m Shannon, and this is My Story
Local Contractor
Hi, I’m Shannon. I am a single mom of twin 22 year old daughters, who are in their junior year of nursing school in Maine. I enjoy biking, taking a barre class, and leisure days on the beach with them and my childhood friends. I’ve been an Occupational therapist for 30 years this spring. I have worked in all populations from birth to three, school age, intense rehab unit in a hospital, short and long term rehabilitation, assisted living facilities, and Home Care.
Throughout my career, I have been a clinical instructor for Quinnipiac University, college when I attended, for both Level I and II students in across all settings: school system, rehabilitation, and home health.
When I was looking to return to school based services, one of Centra’s representatives contacted me about the position, and I genuinely have felt supported and not just a number. Rachel has always been a sounding board, as I am the sole clinician in a school district across 3 campuses servicing early childhood, upper elementary, and middle/ high school. Another thing that I like best about Centra is transparency and consistent communication. As an employee in the Boston area, Rachel is always available to help me navigate this journey.
